Friday Information Session

Operation A.B.L.E.'s weekly Friday Information Sessions are devoted solely to meeting with job seekers age 55 and older to tell them about the Senior Community Service Employee Program (SCSEP).

SCSEP is a federal back-to-work program for low-income individuals age 55 and older that pays qualified participants $8.00 per hour for 20 hours of work per week in a community-based government agency or non-profit organization.  Participants have an opportunity to earn-while-they-learn new skills that will eventually lead to unsubsidized employment.

The sessions are conducted every Friday promptly at 10 a.m. at Operation A.B.L.E.’s headquarters at 131 Tremont Street, Boston. You will meet with a program representative to discuss your suitability for participation and initiate the application process.

Tuesdays @ 3 Briefing

Join us any Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. to learn everything there is to know about our various skills training programs.  There will be plenty of time to ask questions to determine if a particular program is right for you.  You can also talk to one of our program managers about potential sources of tuition assistance.  Briefings take place at Operation A.B.L.E.’s headquarters at 131 Tremont Street, Boston. Be sure to pre-register by calling 617 542 4180.
