Malden - Operation A.B.L.E. of Greater Boston will launch a job search program for professional, managerial and supervisory-level job seekers, ages 45 and older, called Operation Success, a six-week boot camp to begin April 7 in the downtown Boston office, located at 131 Tremont St.
The camp will teach job seekers how to market their business maturity and overcome the obstacles and stereotypes they face in transitioning back to work.
“We believe that the unique job search needs of mature professionals, managers and supervisors requires an equally unique strategy for landing a job that fits his or her skills and experience,” said Joan Cirillo, Operation A.B.L.E.’s executive director. “This group of job seekers is ready to take on any responsibility put in front of them, yet, because of their age, many are facing a barrier to employment that is vexing and troubling even to the best and brightest among them.”
In addition to a special focus on job search strategies for mature workers, Operation Success gives participants the opportunity to polish their Microsoft Office skills by building on their basic understanding of and familiarity with MS Office applications.
The program also enables job seekers to showcase their talents to individual employers at an Employer Showcase.
